It’s all in a name…this is how MadMolly was born.....

Shopping on the internet is pleasurable in so far as the vast choice we have and the fact that we are in the comfort of our own homes, making decisions as fast or slow as we wish.

The downside for some people is dealing with faceless websites, and we have to trust the website by its design and professionalism.  So, for that reason, I want to introduce MadMolly to you!

My name is Katherine and I am the mother of two beautiful girls, but then I would say that, wouldn't I?!  My girls are called Molly & Madeleine, hence the business and website name MadMolly.

I used to work as the PA to the Chairman of Ernst & Young in the city of London for 10 years, after a stint of 7 years in Austria working for the U.N.  Both positions were highly pressurised and a fantastic experience.

But with children comes change, as all parents know very well, and I have been lucky enough to be able to turn my passion for gifts and beautiful things into a business, while still being able to give my children the love and attention they deserve.  This generally equates to working late into the night, but it's worth it!  My long suffering husband Steve now has the title Makka Pakka (a popular children's TV character from The Night Garden) - I still find it amazing that from our location here in rural Oxfordshire, we are wrapping delightful gifts & toys, that go to all parts of the United Kingdom, Europe and Worldwide.

Apart from the day to day running of our business, I spend a lot of time sourcing new ideas for products for the website.  This is the best part of the job - finding good quality gifts for all ages and occasions that will be enjoyed for a long time and in some cases, will be passed down to future generations.
